How does GoBackload protect me from poor service?

GoBackload (GBL) has a vetting process for carriers. We confirm each operator's TSL (Transport Service Licence, required for commercial goods transport), verify GST registration, and check physical and digital addresses. We also list their insurance details so you can see what's covered and what additional coverage you might need. Additionally, carriers have a feedback forum where you can read reviews from previous loads to make informed decisions.

After I accept a carrier, how do we connect?

Once you accept a carrier's offer, GoBackload securely shares both your and the trucker's contact details via email. This ensures your information is not publicly available on the platform.

Can I get freight quotes?

Yes! GoBackload offers a freight bidding process. You can post your load details and receive quotes from interested carriers.

Can backloads be a fast way to ship freight?

Absolutely! On average, one in three trucks returns home empty or partially empty. A clear and detailed listing with photos helps carriers decide if your load is a good fit. Being flexible with pickup and drop-off locations (e.g., depots) can also reduce costs.

What if a trucker asks for my contact details before I accept their offer?

Never share your contact details on the GoBackload platform. Publicly available information can be seen by anyone.

What happens if my goods are damaged during delivery?

While rare, damaged goods require immediate action. Note any damage on the consignment note the carrier provides. If possible, take photos of the damaged goods and the signed note. We recommend taking before-and-after photos to simplify any potential third-party claims for damage compensation.

What if the goods are bigger or heavier than originally quoted?

Accurate measurements are crucial. Carriers have the right to charge extra if your initial measurements underestimate the size or weight of your load. For oversized machinery (wider than 2.5 meters), a pilot vehicle might be required, and these additional costs fall on the sender.

What happens if I cancel last minute?

Last-minute cancellations can result in costs for the carrier. If the cancellation is on your end, you might be obligated to reimburse the carrier for reasonable expenses incurred before the cancellation.

What happens if the carrier doesn't show up?

GoBackload relies on its network of carriers to deliver your goods. We take carrier performance seriously. Please report any no-shows immediately so we can address the issue and prevent it from happening to others. You can also warn other users through the carrier's feedback forum.
